Add a little more YOU in your business
I’ve always been a little eerie about posting personal things on social media let alone on my business accounts. I’ve been taught to keep things professional and business-related at all times.
But times have shifted and people want to connect with people and not a faceless business.
Obviously don’t over share and keep things “professional” (I know I just said…) But there is the trick to it.
Your branding is so much more than just a logo. It’s the YOU your potential client wants to see – the same as I said before. People want to know, like and trust a business before they invest.
That’s why I niched down and now only focusing on building brands for female entrepreneurs. We dig deep into what makes you tick and truly brings out your personality in your brand.
Photos of you
The best way to attract viewers and to let them know you a little better is by posting photos of yourself on social media – and NO I’m not referring to a selfie or that blurry one you took that other day. If you can master the art of taking the perfect selfie or asking a friend to take a few good quality photos – that’s perfect.
I do however offer personal brand photography sessions if you are ever in the area.
Choose a location or setting that represents you and your brand. Make the photos seem as natural as possible. These photos will go on your website and most importantly your business social accounts. You need to introduce yourself and do this often as your following will grow.
Behind the Scenes
We all sometimes have that urge to get to know the owner behind the brand – how their brain works, how their process works, and what gets them inspired. Your social accounts is a great platform to showcase behind the scene footage of your day and business/personal life. Instagram Stories are great because the content here is only available for 24hours so it doesn’t need to be the perfect picture or content.
STOP with the buy from me posts – you need to find that perfect loophole to add a little link or lure potential clients into your services or products. It takes a little time and effort to get used to not pitching a sales speech every time. Tell a story and add value to your followers – if people can get something out of you not purchasing your products or services it’s an easy way to attract sales and more followers. You need to give some to get some.
Your website/social copy should reflect you – act like you are talking to one client, don’t try and be someone that you are not you want to attract like-minded people that you can work with.
Choose a colour pallet for your brand that you can bring across with your brand photos (clothing, scene).
Run your business talking to one client and give her a name to make it easier for you. Got this tip from the amazing Instagram Coach – Jaclyn from Magnetize.
