It’s all very well to receive your new finalised branding, but you need a plan to tell the world about it. You will definitely want to build some excitement around your new brand or new business venture on your social media channels, through your growing database and also through loved ones sharing with others. After all, you don’t need to celebrate alone!
In the same breath, starting a new business can be an extremely exciting time! You get to choose your brand name, some beautiful new corporate identity colours, fonts and more, together with your graphic designer, family and friends.
When it comes to launching your new branding, it’s not always easy to know how or where to start. In this blog I’ll share some of my top tips for a successful brand launch.
Fresh branding, or a brand refresh is the perfect opportunity for you to grow your audience and make people curious as to what you have to offer.
HERE ARE SOME TIPS YOU CAN USE TO BUILD EXCITEMENT AS YOU LEAD UP TO YOUR LAUNCH DATE:
Choose Your Dates
Consider your business if you are a startup or branding launch dates for your business. Both of these dates are so important, and it’s essential that you put your plan in the pipeline so you don’t miss out on an opportunity to share your excitement and offering with the world effectively. Plus, this makes for an excellent marketing tactic as you get your name out there with some amazing visuals.
Leverage your social media
If you don’t have it already – get yourself an Instagram business account. If you have done your branding through NikiDesign Studio I will have created an Instagram look and feel together with your branding to get you started.
This is also not something you have to restrict to just one social media post, but you really want to build an audience so that you can bring them along the journey with you.
Choose the social platforms that will work for you and your brand. Don’t try and do them all because you may burn out and go quiet. Rather start off by giving 100% to one platform so you can learn it and discover what works for you.
Clients want to see the person behind the brand (know, like and trust). Tell them your story, your how and your why and do this more than once, especially as your following grows.
Create a campaign
Depending on your budget this is a great way to attract more potential clients to your social platforms and it’s also a great way to start promoting yourself on social media accounts. Running a campaign works well when you offer things like a sign-up discount or coupon code, or first customer purchase discounts or freebies.

Run a Competition
Invite potential clients to tag friends and like your post on social media for a chance to win one of your products or services. It’s a great way for new people to find you and a chance for you to grow your following.
Sneak peaks & behind the scenes
A great build up is to show your clients a few sneak peeks before you launch and all the work happening behind the scenes. People love to engage with ‘bts’ (behind the scenes) content!
Invite your clients, friends and family to join you on your launch day. Display your products, take photos and offer goodie bags and treats. Do a little speech, pop some bubbles and make it a day to remember.
After your launch day give thanks to everyone that attended, post your photos and continue to be consistent and present on your social accounts.
One last thing
Depending on what you do, having a website on it’s own isn’t enough. Most clients venture onto social media to find and locate businesses they want to work with or products they want to purchase.
